Chateau Pélat is a 12th-century family-owned property of exceptional character and beauty in the heart of the Gers, an hour from Toulouse Airport. With seven bedrooms and five bathrooms across three buildings, Pélat sleeps 10 adults in great comfort, or a group of 16 with teenagers and children in the (summer only) Tower and Owl rooms.

With a tennis court, pool, fig trees and its own vineyard (which produces a surprisingly nice house wine) nestled in a sleepy corner of a region as beautiful as any France has to offer, we think Pélat is the perfect location for an idyllic holiday with family or friends, which is why we’ve gone there every summer for nearly 30 years. Take a look for yourself - and if you find yourself as in love with the place as we are, get in touch about arranging your stay.

Location

The chateau’s beauty and character is matched by the region’s rolling hills, delightful villages, and amazing food. If you visit once, you’ll come again. Read more about the Gers.

The house

Splash about in the pool as you watch the sun go down, play tennis on the freshly re-surfaced court, eat and drink in the shade of the vines, ride a bike into the village, pick up a book from the well-stocked library, or vanquish all comers at ping-pong: at Pélat you can do all of the above - or simply retreat to a hammock for a snooze.
